Body Talk -1st April

Christina Cromer joined me again this week with more handy hints and tips on how we can use the things that we have already in our kitchens and back yards to heal our sick bodies.

Flowers can be good to eat. Rose petals are good for calming the emotions. You can also make a tea out of the stems. Try and avoid the thorns!

Don't throw out all of your dandelions as weeds. They can be good for cleansing the system. Use the leaves in a salad, or make an infusion out of the roots to cleanse the liver.

Porridge is a good way of soothing the emotions too. If you're feeling low a good bowl of warming porridge with a splash of honey will help to cheer you up.

For those of you suffering with the cold, try warming up with some of the hotter spices, such as cayenne. Good for the circulation.

We had so many tips that were fascinating. We really don't make enough use of what there is around us.

It was great to have Crissi on the show and hopefully we'll be able to get her back again in the future for more ideas on how to use what we have at home instead of rushing to the chemist each time we feel down.
