2008 is set to be a very busy year for 24 year old singer songwriter Laura Critchley. Following unprecedented success on a recent trip to America, Laura makes a welcome return to the UK to release ‘Today’s Another Day’ remixed by Ash Howes (Kylie Minogue, Nelly Furtado) and produced by Steve Power. Laura’s previous two releases (‘What Do We Do’, ‘Sometimes I’) achieved critical acclaim and featured on Phoenix FM's A List for quite a time

Written by Laura ‘Today’s Another Day’ is a toe-tapping, head-nodding Nashville-meets-Merseyside pop nugget with lyrics inspired by Laura’s time before signing her record deal when she was endlessly gigging around bars and clubs, in constant pursuit of her dream. Now Laura is not just living that dream, but the reality is exceeding her expectations with Britain, America and even Hollywood itself raving about the young starlet and her debut album ‘Sometimes I’.
Oscar and Bafta nominated Jeff Arch (Sleepless in Seattle) directed the video for ‘Today’s Another Day’ on location in Los Angeles having been blown away by one of Laura’s performances to a packed audience in Hollywood. Not content with directing her video, Jeff has asked Laura to write a track for his new romantic comedy, Chelsea Story, (being penned for Naomi Watts and John Cusack) and has even written a part in the film for Laura
Legendary American songwriter Diane Warren (Don’t Want To Miss A Thing - Aerosmith, Fight The Moonlight - Leeann Rimes, Too lost in You – Sugababes) also saw one of Laura’s recent gigs in Los Angeles and was so impressed that she has now written songs for Laura to record. Closer to home Laura has been writing with Steve Booker who has recently enjoyed incredible success of the number one hit Mercy which he wrote for Duffy.
Currently on tour with Boyzone, Laura will be making her debut festival performance at The Isle of Wight Festival in June. Proud of her Liverpool roots, and of the city’s status as the European Capital Of Culture 2008, Laura has recently been announced as a nominee for the Merseyside Woman Of The Year Awards and was delighted to accept an invitation to perform at the award ceremony in June.
With a hectic schedule and an array of achievements to boast, this summer and beyond is sure to see Laura’s career exceed even the dizzy heights of Hollywood.
'Todays another day' is released July 7th
