What's You Name Then .....innit?

Sunday July 20th 2008

Strangely as I start to write this I am sitting at Cork Airport (Ireland) waiting for a plane. Here’s a picture:

Cork Airport Header

Anyway back to Sunday and I started the programme with the News feeling somewhat tired as I’d been on ‘til Midnight the previous night doing the U2 Top 20 Show (Finally!!!). The Number one is revealed later. The first record was Gabrielle Cilmi with Sweet About Me. Then in one of those blindingly brilliant ideas I have usually on a Wednesday which by Sunday seems suspect because by then I’ve got to do it I teed up (ooh a Golf reference!) a feature inspired by the Ting Tings tune That’s Not My Name. This one was called what is your name and led to the playing of the following  songs on the programme:

            Chris Rea                                                         Josephine

            Beatles                                                                        Michelle

            The Damned                                                    Eloise

            Glasvegas                                                        Geraldine

            Lolas Theme                                                    Shapeshifters

So a not to bore you completely I have only recorded a selection of the music I played sandwiched between the features. This is simply to give you a flavour of the high quality of Sunday Breakfast. lol!
