The Saturday Kickabout Roundup - 8 November

This week we had a chat with our Community Football expert, Mike Burchett, about the costs involved with local football teams. You can listen to the interview in full by clicking here.  Mike is Forest Glade FC coaching development manager. www.forestgladefc.com.

We also spoke to Jon Burnell, the Leopards' team coach, during a marathon weekend of basketball. Jon was looking also forward to returning to the Brentwood Centre this coming weekend, for the match against Bristol Flyers. We also discussed the new signing, Russell Jordan.

Local football brought news of Brentwood Town's fruitful visit to Potter's Bar, eventually winning 2-1. We also spoke to dejected West Ham season ticket holder, Jason Cramer, as the Hammers went down 3-1 at home to Everton.

Dan Westram kept us up to date with the latest scores in FA Cup round 1, with most of the local sides getting a draw and securing a replay. Dan also brought us all the rugby union scores in the internationals.

Join us every Saturday from 4. In association with Acorn Window Services.
