Body Talk - 11th November

Do lucky charms really work or is it all in the mind?

Different countries have their different traditions to bring good luck and ward off evil. In Britain we have the horse shoe and four leaf clover.Native American Indians have the dream catcher to keep away nightmares. In India the elephant is said to bring good fortune. The Chinese have a lucky cat or laughing buddha to bring financial success. The Egyptians have the ankh which is a familiar symbol seen on jewellery today. It would be great if just owning one of these really did change your fortune. Maybe it can, if you're superstitious you won't be without one.

Crystals can also bring good luck around the home. Crystals are said to have special properties that can affect people and the environment. To keep out unwanted visitors place a piece of black obsidian in your hallway. For a good night's sleep have a piece of haematite by your bed. Lead crystal is an energiser, so make good use of it in the dining room. Moss agate is thought to prevent accidents anywhere in the home. Lepidolite may absorb electromagnetic fields generated by computers and tv's. To boost your concentration try lapis lazuli or for soothing an anxious mind try a piece of rose quartz.
