Mr Fortune Iwuagwu, consultant plastic surgeon, Spire Hartswood Hospital

When we think of cosmetic breast surgery, we usually think boob jobs and A-list celebrities! We tend to forget that there are many thousands of women who are unhappy about their shape - often as a result of hereditary factors. Consultant plastic surgeon from Spire Hartswood Hospital, Mr Fortune Iwuagwu was our guest on Body Talk this week to explain how breast irregularities can affect women psychologically and what can be done to create a more normal appearance.

Fortune told us what his present position is within Spire Hartswood Hospital.  When breast development starts and stops.  He explained what congenital breast asymmetry is and what the complaints of women with these problems are and how common it is.  Then what they should do if they have the problem.

He then went on to explain how the condition is treated and what other conditions are congenital – extra breasts and nipples, tubular breasts, hypoplasia, aplasia, gigantomastia, tendency for early drooping etc?

Fortune then went on to answer Alex' further questions about The increase in breast augmentation, male breast reduction, whether he expected a decrease in procedures this year due to the current economic climate, his thoughts on young women having breast augmentation, if a person could become addicted to plastic surgery and finally about any dangers associated with plastic surgery, particularly breast augmentation.
