Monday Classics LIVE

Monday Classics LIVE on 23rd February 2009

It was an action packed show this week, I was joined by Ann Elderton who is Director of
Brentwood Orchestras for Young Musicians - www.boym.org.uk.

Ann told us about:
Pheonix Youth Orchestra
Phoenix Flames
Brentwood Junior String Orchestra
Brentwood Beginner Strings
Phoenix Wind Band
Phoenix Flutes

These ensembles provide a musical home for 160 young musicians between 5 and 18 years old.

Monday Classics hosted LIVE performances in the studio from 5 brilliant members of these
groups. A big thank you to:

Hannah Ambrose - Leader of Brentwood Junior String Orchestra

Sarah Woolatt - 1st Flute in Phoenix Youth Orchestra, and member of Phoenix Flutes

Anita Santinelli - Violinist from Brentwood Junior String Orchestra

Florence Roycroft - Bassoonist from Phoenix Youth Orchestra

Harry O'Keefe - Phoenix Youth Orchestra and Violinist in National Youth Orchestra

They all played with complete professionalism and panache, showing amazing talent
and passion for their music.

Monday Classics is very very grateful to Bryan Powis for his technical skills and
time in making the sound so good.

The playlist was as follows:
