Sophie Biebuyck on Phoenix FM

Sophie Biebuyck dropped into Monday Classics tonight; she knows the Phoenix ropes
from when she was in on Bryan's Drive show just before Christmas, and she was great
fun to chat to this evening.

We talked about belonging to a choir, the benefits and commitment, the team work and
the sense of belonging to something that is unique to the UK - the Cathedral Choir.

Sophie is Director of the Girls' Choir at Brentwood Cathedral; we spoke about their role
in the life there, providing music for services, and also we chatted about their forthcoming
concert on Wednesday 13th May at 8pm at the Cathedral.

The conversation moved to music for adverts on the telly, to Sophie's University Finals
and back to two other concerts in Brentwood in May that she is involved in. As you see,
and heard, she is much in demand!

And before we let her leave Phoenix HQ tonight, she (kind of) agreed to bring the Girls' Choir
round to sing us some Christmas Carols, later in the year (obviously)...!

And THIS was your Monday Music:

The Non-Classical Classic
A Good Heart - Fergal Sharkey (1985)

Allegro from Concerto a 5 in B flat - Tomaso Albinoni (1671-1751)

Minuetto from Symphony no 25 - W A Mozart (1756-1791)
