Saturday Morning Breakfast 16/05/09

Firstly thanks to Monica who covered Saturday Breakfast last week whilst I was at home in my sick bed :(

The Beginners Guide to Festivals:

On this weeks Saturday Morning Breakfast show I announced that every Saturday for the next couple of months we'd be compiling a Beginners Guide to Festivals - so if you have any tips or tricks about Festivals / Camping then let us know! The guide will be posted and updated each week on these blogs.

This is how the Guide currently looks:

  • Take a torch to wear around your neck for when using the toilet at night to be sure you don't step or sit on anything smelly.
  • Use anti-bacterial wipes / gel after using the toilet to kill any germs
  • Ladies - put your money in your bra to keep it safe and take dry shampoo to keep your hair nice.
  • Don't take more than a four man tent as big tents usually attract wild party animals. If there is more than 4 of you going take 3/4 2/3 man tents and put it in a circle
  • Bottles are banned from most campsites so if you're a vino lover then take drinks in a plastic bottle / buy tins instead

The Morning Teaser:

Q. 2 fathers and 2 sons go fishing. Each of them catches one fish. So why do they bring home only 3 fishes?

A. Because the fishing group comprises of a grandfather, his son, and his son’s son – hence just three people.

Brucey was back on still argueing his point on the teaser I gave you two weeks ago.. Therefore he will be writing next weeks teaser!

Four Songs From One Year:

The four songs this week were:
  1. Bros - When Will I be Famous?
  2. INXS - I Need You Tonight
  3. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven is a Place on Earth
  4. Eric Carmen - Hungry Eyes

And the year was...... 1988 !!

We was also joined by two guest, both bike related..  Mark from Essex Roads came in to talk about the Orchid Cycle ride happening on 14th June and then Terry from the Rotary Club of Basildon was back to tell us how the Basildon and Brentwood Mountain Bike Ride went..
