Bodytalk 20th October 2009

On this weeks Bodytalk we took a look at the topical health issues that were hitting the news, these included;

The expected second wave of Swine Flu could cause MRSA infection rates to rise due to the increase in hospital admissions.

Jon Ironmonger reported that heavy drinking could kill more than 90,000 people in the UK over the next ten years.

Obesity may cut the chance of IVF working.

The human body clock is affected by the weather.

And travellers are being urged not to bring back food from outside the EU as it may increase some disease risks.

On the 27th October Jules Bottazzi will take a more scientific look at the latest treatments for breast cancer when our guest will be Dr Eliot Sims, consultant oncologist specialising in breast cancer treatment at Spire Hartswood Hospital.
If you have any specific questions for Eliot, please email them to Phoenix FM through this page; www.phoenixfm.com/contact.php

If you miss any of the special guests we have on Bodytalk you can listen again through the Spire Hartswood Hospital website here; www.spirehealthcare.com/Hartswood/Podcast/
