I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want.....

This week on the Sunday Hangover presented by Phoenix FM’s very own answer to Jedward, we looked at a magazine article predicting when celebrities pop their clogs and learnt when it’s likely the Hoff will pop off. John put in his worst performance yet on the Pick Me Up magazine headlines challenge, fooled into thinking “Margaret Beckett bought my caravan” and “my plumber whacked me with his plunger” were genuine headlines.

And as Simon Fuller announced he’d like the Spice Girls to reform for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony (which Peter welcomed but John did not), we suggested some tunes to herald their comeback. These were the top 5:

1. 99 Problems (and singing is one of them) – (Sp)Ice T
2. Zig-a-ziggy Stardust and the Spice Girls From Mars – David Bo-tox
3. Ferry Cross The Mersey (and stay there) - Gerry (Halliwell) and the Pacemakers
4. It’s (not) Alright, Baby’s Coming Back - Eurythmics
5. Not Here, Not Now – Fatboy Gin-ger

Not making the list this week:

It was a good day (to be somewhere else) – Spice Cube
(Olym) Pick up the pieces – (Very) Average White Band
We Belong Together (just not here) – Mariah Scarey
Bat Out of Mel C – Meat Loaf
Oh My Posh – (they really should be in a) Basement Jaxx

Also in this week’s show, John provided Brentwood and Billericay with a curse to prevent Simon Cowell criticising them and gave his thought for the week – how come people are overwhelmed or underwhelmed but never whelmed? Deep.

Next week we’ll be joined by comedian Elizabeth Mee who was a finalist in this year’s Funny Women competition. That means she is officially a funny woman.......
