Brentwood Police Forge Partnership with the community!

My guest on Thursday 12th of November was Cheif Inspector Keith Dobson. He was here to kick off a series of visits aimed at getting the community involved in Neighborhood watch programs by forging partnerships with people in the community. This weeks topic was Anti Social Behavior, what is being done and what you can do to help the police keep Brentwood safe.

We can expect a visit next Thursday 19th of November from a member of the police with more on the topic and new topics to follow Bi-weekly thereafter. You are invited to participate in the show by sending in or calling in any questions you may have for our guests by emailing : or calling in the studio 01277 849 931.

Any questions will be answered live on air and provided time will allow. Any questions unanswered will be answered within the next show.

Join us on the Eat my Lunch show and help keep your community in Brentwood a safe place to live and work!

Brentwood District Commander - Chief Inspector Keith Dobson District Commander Chief Inspector Keith Dobson

It is my privilege to be the new commander for Brentwood district, having joined in April. I have a great deal of experience, having served in the police both in Yorkshire and Essex.

It is my firm intention to maintain good working relationships with our local agencies and communities and to tackle the issues that affect people the most; particularly anti-social behaviour and house burglaries.

I am determined to ensure that Brentwood district remains one of the safest and most attractive places to live and work in Essex.

Brentwood has one of the lowest crime rates in the county and a good detection rate, finishing the year on 32.4 percent. This is an excellent achievement.

I hope to build on this through neighbourhood policing to find ways to reduce and detect crime even further. It is about placing the right officers, in the right places, at the right time.

One focus will be on the travelling criminals using the surrounding road networks to commit offences in Brentwood district. We will deal positively and robustly with those breaking the law and bring them to swift justice.

I would encourage members of the community to get involved with our various meetings and share your views to shape the future of policing in your area.

I look forward to meeting members of the community and addressing any issues promptly to ensure Brentwood remains a safe place to live, work and visit.
