My First Week!!! Week ending 4th December

My First Week! OMG!
First of all I have to say a BIG thank you for everyone's kind wishes. If you don't already know I have set up a group on Facebook: The Breakfast Show on Phoenix 98FM. There you will be able send me messages and keep up to date with guests joining me on the show.
So last week consisted of my first Interview on Wednesday 2nd December with Mark Reed, talking about his new role as Tourism Champion.
On Thursday 3rd December I spoke with Richard Robinson Managing Director at Heathrow Express about the travel situation over Christmas. For more information go to where you can get all the information about getting to Heathrow without using your car..
And my third guest on the show was 'My mate Pete' who gave us a round up of the midweek matches and the weekends fixtures:
Midweek football - Chelsea lose to Blackburn on penalties, Arsenal lost 3-0 at Man City, Man United knock spurs out and Aston Villa win at Portsmouth. Semi-final draw, Blackburn Rovers vs. Aston Villa, and Manchester United vs. Manchester City. Also in the Europa League, Everton qualified for the next round.

Sport for the weekend ahead;

Tennis - Final of the David Cup between Spain and Czech Republic (Spain won 5-0)

Rugby Union - Wasps vs. Leicester (Wasps won 24-22)

England vs. South Africa - 5th One Day International. England 2-1 up in the series, so if we avoid defeat, we’ll win the series (the game was rained off, England win the series 2-1).

Draw for the 2010 World Cup Finals taking place in South Africa (England drawn against USA, Algeria and Slovenia)

Silly Sports Facts:
In bowling, three strikes in a row was called a turkey. The term originated in the 1800s when at holiday time, the first member of a team to score three strikes in a row won a free turkey.
In Scotland, golf was strictly a Gentlemen-Only- Ladies-Forbidden sport. Hence the name Golf.
