You know I had convinced myself that I had written up my show page only two weeks ago, so imagine my surprise when I realised I had not! Naughty Michelle, I will punishment myself later by eating another chocolate fudge cake from Marks and Sparks.

In my attempt to fatten up Emma Sweeney (the fabulous Breakfast Show presenter on Phoenix FM) I have managed to fatten myself up. I have put on 7lbs and my face on the webcam is now the shape of a football. Webcam has been pointing towards the wall on and off all week that way I can eat off camera and moan about putting on weight.

I have, as per usual, made a few "cock ups" on air. I announced I had arrived in the studio with "sans make up" pronounced "saaaaannnns" (Emma Sweeney corrected me) who was I to know it was bloody French. I can barely speak English on a good day, as listeners to my show will note. Sometimes, I just get my words mixed up, then I start laughing and start talking about something else. Random.

My Question of the Day seems to go down with the stalking maniacs I have as friends on Facebook. People join in on the webcam chat page too. Local shops play the station and when I walk around Brentwood or Billericay you get people asking "are you from that Phoenix radio" I say "yes I am, I am Ed Wellman".

So, what has been on my show! Well besides the normal Music (slipped a few 80’s tracks in there), News, Local Events, Local Guests and my general ramblings.

Christopher Biggins & Rachel Allen

I interviewed the wonderful actor/tv personality Christopher Biggins and the brilliant cook Rachel Allen as part of the Britan's Best Pudding Competition. I must admit I always nervous when interviewing but my parting comment to Christopher Biggins made him howl with laughter. It was a fun interview from start to finish, smashing!

We talked puddings, shoes and whipped cream. You can enter this competition by going on line to:

You can also hear the interview on the Phoenix FM homepage

Gary Coughlan (singer/guitarist) & Martin Harmer (percussionist)

Gary is a local singer songwriter who came into the studio to play some of his stunning tracks. I was simply blown away by the guys talent. Gary is currently writing a new album and as soon as he starts getting out there gigging I will let you know.

Love and peace.
