EAT MY LUNCH 7th - 11th June

The week started off well as I didn’t make it to work on Monday due to illness. Yeah, I know, it was probably caused by licking the microphone. My tongue inadvertently wiggled on the foam and let us not forget there are about 40 presenters at Phoenix FM coughing, sneezing and snogging that microphone everyday.

So this week I had a chat with the lovely Ander Anderson (Springers) and David Van Day (he of Dollar fame and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here).

My musical taste involved throwing in a few oldie tunes, bit of Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Doris Day.

My talk mainly this week was on the menopause. As soon as I explained to the emergency doctor I had had a hot flush it was FSH blood tests. If I am going through the menopause (bit early init?) I will no doubt be growing additional body hair, having very snappy and brittle bones. So if you hear a gruff voice presenting that will be due to my diminishing hormone levels. Hear a snapping sound and that will be my little fingers breaking as I slide faders up and the buzzing in the studio will be the sound of my electric razor as I shave my face, back and chest. Of course the webcam will be on during the shaving ritual although a charge of 1.00 per viewing will be payable. I hope to make enough money to pay for my weekly parking at Brentwood.

Some might say "hey Michelle, don’t you think it’s a bit personal to talk about the menopause seeing how young, attractive and incredibly stunning you are". I say to those people "I will be open about things because it might, JUST MIGHT, help some other bearded, brittle boned presenter, who is going through the same thing". (Andrew Babicz presents the Gardening Show on Sunday from 10am –12pm).

Have a great week!

I was wiggling with excitement talking to the legend that is David Van Day. I remember David from Dollar and at that time he was simply gorgeous. He has gone full circle with fame and is now back in the limelight.  David has a competition in conjunction with the Sun Newspaper Online. If you are a local singer then get going for it!

THINK you've got a talent? Well enter The Sun Search For A Star competition and win yourself a holiday.

We've teamed up with Pontin's, the UK's leading entertainment and Holiday Company, to present a celebrity-judged talent show.

The winners land a one year contract with one of London's leading talent agencies - plus a short break holiday and a seven day half board family break for up to six people.

Entrants will get the opportunity to audition in front of celebrity judges - TV Presenter and Sun Beauty Editor Sue Moxley, "I'm A Celeb" TV star and 80s singer David Van Day and Pontins Entertainment Consultant Ian Johnson.

They will select their 10 best acts to go through to a grand final in front of a LIVE AUDIENCE at Pontin's - filmed by The Sun on Sunday June 20.

The judges will choose their favourite in the final before the footage is uploaded onto The Sun website where readers will vote for the overall winner.

The celebrity judges' winner will bag a four night mini break short holiday for a family of four, while the Sun readers' winner gets a seven-night family holiday worth more than £1000.

But will our army of web fans agree with the decision of our celebrity judges or will you pick a different champ?

Think you might have what it takes to win? The competition is open for contestants now and will close on Sunday June 13. Auditions will take place June 19 and June 20.
