Welcome to Drive's brand new daily blog - this week we're bringing you closer to our studio assistants that help put the show together four days of the week.
Ben Flanagan is "Man Monday" and enjoys volunteering with us once a week in-between his studies. Here he tells us all about his likes and dislikes:
Favourite bands/artists
David Bowie, My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, Bjork, The Smiths, Joy Division, Arcade Fire, Phil Spector, Nick Cave, LCD Soundsystem

Favourite singles/tracks
Blue Monday-New Order, Just Like Honey-jesus & Mary Chain Blister In The Sun- Violent Femmes, My Girls- Animal Collective, Killing Moon-Echo & The Bunnymen, Paranoid Android- Radiohead, Perfect Day- Lou Reed, I Wanna Be Your Dog- The Stooges, 99 Problems- Jay-Z, Fool's Gold- Stone Roses, Wild Horses-Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly-Weezer, Sloop John B- The Beach Boys, It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)- Bob Dylan, North American Scum- LCD Soundsystem, Paper Planes- M.I.A

Favourite albums
Is This It- The Strokes, Loveless- My Bloody Valentine, Stone Roses, Dummy- Portishead, Pink Moon- Nick Drake, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea- Neutral Milk Hotel, Ramones, The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars- David Bowie

Favourite books
The Secret History- Donna Tartt, Catcher in The Rye- Salinger, Talking Heads- Alan Bennet, Cloud Atlas- David Mitchell (not the bloke off Peep Show), The Curious Incident of The Dog At Nighttime- Mark Haddon, The Road- Cormac McCarthy. Peanuts are good for a laugh too.

Favourite TV and films                                                                                                                                                                                                              This is my area of expertise so I really have narrowed down my choices to the best of the best of the best: The Sopranos, Mad Men, The Thick of It and Arrested Development, crimianlly underwatched but it is utterly hilarious, pretty much a live action version of The Simpsons. As for films, I'm a huge David Lynch fan so Mulholland Drive is right up my street, Taxi Driver, The Shining and The Big Lebowski are all classics too, but the ultimate films for me are the Toy Story Trilogy. Let's just say watching the third installment in the cinema was an emotional experience...

One other thing I love
I've been interested in acting and writing all my life but I never really take either too seriously, it's just fun to do a bit of acting with my Drama group or write the odd short play or story. It's what I want to get into after university but for now I just concentrate on schoolwork!

One thing I really hate
Poor grammar, as someone who takes a lot of pride in the English language I am consistently angered by text speak, misplaced apostrophes and the confusion of 'there' and 'their'. Don't even get me started on people who use the non-word 'writ'.
