Ok, so to go from what was supposed to be a weekly blog (but actually turned out to be a monthly blog) to a daily blog, could be described by some as ambitious! However, three days in and so far so good. OK so Monday and Tuesday's updates weren't uploaded until the Wednesday, and today's update is 24 hours behind too - but at least we're becoming more regular than we were - just like someone getting over a bout of constipation! (Apologies for the toilet humour.)
No guests or studio assistants today, so Wednesday's show was all about me and the music. On our teatime teaser, we asked what 44% of us now use each and every day. Technology featured high on the list of answers. Carina was desperate to get the question right. Donna tried her hand too, but the guesses of Facebook, mobile internet, toilet, computer, car, search engines, internet, the telly, front door, their brain, slurs, dishwasher, mobile phones and washing maching were all wrong. The correct answer was teeth whitening toothpaste.
Annette says our daily teasers make her brain hurt so turned the tables on us in the studio by asking us how many wives Henry VIII had. I thought the obvious answer was six, but apparently not so. When he married Anne Boleyn he was still married to Catherine Of Aragon, so that didn't count. His fourth marriage was annulled (i.e. it never took place), as was his fifth after Henry made adultery an act of treason. Henry then decided his first marriage was invalid as he had married his brother's widow, which on becoming the head of the English church he declared was an illegal act. That leaves us with just two legal marriages. Thanks Annette now my brain hurts!
At the beginning of each Drive we take a look at the midweeks. On singles, Cee-Lo Green’s Forget You looks likely to top the chart again this Sunday, although Duck Sauce’s Barbra Streisand is not far behind it, while Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are (Amazing) and Joe McElderry’s new single Ambitions are both selling strongly.

In what is a busy week for both charts, there will be six new albums challenging for a top 10 position this Sunday. Leading the pack, Robbie Williams’ In And Out Of Consciousness looks a dead cert to top the chart after selling more than 41,000 copies on its first day of release.

This week’s number one, Tinie Tempah’s Disc-Overy, is still selling well and currently holds the number two position in Official Chart Company sales flashes, ahead of three new releases, Cliff Richard’s Bold As Brass, Alter Bridge’s AB III and Magnetic Man’s Magnetic Man.

Belle & Sebastian’s Write About Love and The Orb featuring David Gilmour’s Metallic Spheres also look set to enter the charts in the top 10, while Jason Donovan’s Soundtrack of the 80s is just outside the 10 at the moment.
Right, make sure you check out tomorrow's blog where you can find out all about Girl Thursday Pip Clarke. By for now!
