TEATIME TEASERS [05/11]

Each night on Drive we set our Teatime Teaser between 4pm and 6pm. It's your chance to interactive with the show and get your thinking caps on. No prize up for grabs, but regular listeners in particular enjoy the chance to outsmart others and display their intellectual prowess.

Here's a selection of the questions we've posed over the past fortnight:

Tonight we asked what almost a third of households in Liverpool had last year? Stereotypical guesses included cars on bricks, the electric being cut off or a theft of some description. The answer was actually no-one over the age of 16 in work. The Office of National Statistics show that Nottingham and Glasgow also had more than three in 10 homes in 2009 with no adults in employment.

Last night, the M5 heading towards Birmingham at the M6 proved to be the UK's worst traffic bottleneck. Also making the list were various stretches of the M25 including the approach to the QE2 bridge. The Blackwall Tunnel approach came a close second.

Last's week's thinkers were what's always behind you but you can never touch it? Kim said your shadow but the answer we were looking for was the past. Vron was very close with yesterday. We also had this puzzle to get your heads around: each day a lady gets the lift from the 12th floor to the ground level so she can go to work. When she comes home however she only goes up the lift to level 8. Why is this and it is not to keep fit? Correct answer was she was a dwarf and could only reach up to the 8 button.

We found out too that the most popular baby names last year were Oliver for a boy and Olivia for a girl, and "alouette uette uette déployer l'aile" in Cheryl Cole's Promise This translates to "skylark spread your wings" or words to that effect.

On the Tuesday we posed this scenario: You are in a cabin and it is pitch black. You have one match on you. Which do you light first, the newspaper, the lamp, the candle or the fire? Answer would be the match of course! And on the Monday we revealed that 7% of men have used concealer to cover up a pimple.

30% of women would rather DO WHAT than visit their mother-in-law?
