CB November 10th 2010 (with Redeye, & Carousel Circus)

Redeye (l-r): Jim (guitar), Dave aka ‘Basha’ (drums), David (vocals), Neil (guitar), & a representation of bassist Iain – hope you’re back on your feet soon!

Tonight I was joined in the studio by locals Redeye. Since their first appearance on the show just over a year ago, they’ve had a line-up change, landed a new management deal and have also begun writing tunes for their debut album, which they hope to begin recording soon for a 2011 release. We got a sample of their classic rock sound with 3 songs performed in the studio, which you can hear below:

Long Mile Walk

Baby Please Don’t Go

Painter’s Eye

I also chatted to Craig (far left) from Birmingham rockers Carousel Circus. Formed in 2004, the band have just released their third album The Butcher, The Baker & The Ice Cream Maker and have played alongside The Levellers, Example and Happy Mondays’ Bez among many others. Their mix of blues, rock ‘n’ roll and a lot inbetween has won them a few famous fans too, including the Charlatans and Ocean Colour Scene – the latter of whom, as Craig explained to us, the band have recently been gigging with!
