32 days 'til Christmas

And yes, with 32 days 'til the big day, it will be Advent Sunday this week, so following the non-classical classic (which this week was Barry White's 'Let the music play' - would I do anything other?), J S Bach opened the programme with the first chorus from the Advent cantata 'Wachet Auf' or 'Zion hears the watchmen calling'.

Following that, we heard this:

Songbird - All Angels

Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra - Benjamin Britten

Swing Low, as sung by Blake

Bist du bei mir - J S Bach, sung by Hayley Westenra

Domine ad adiuvandum a 6 (from the 1610 Vespers) - Monteverdi

Sabre Dance - Aram Khachaturian

I have a dream - Andrew Johnson

Marche au supplice (from Symphonie Fantastique) - Hector Berlioz

Film Classic - Back to the Future - Main Theme - John Williams

Riverdance - Bill Whelan

Annie's song - Faryl Smith
