Top 5 ‘Things that always disappoint’.

General chit chat

This week I was chatting loads of nonsense about things that always fail to live up to the hype. Mainly, I'm referring to the X Factor, which is over built up, and rarely delivers anything close to 'talent' (Wagner aside).

I also had a good chat about Sarah Palin getting her Korea's mixed up. Not a good time to be sying that the US is a strong ally with the North. At least her and her Tea Party will be entertaining if they get in. The end is nigh.

On a personal note, I spoke about my long weekend in the Isle of Mann with the Grandparents, and my consequent slow decline into obesity. That woman can cook. Apparently Elton John's playing on the island soon and they are all getting well excited about it. Hopefully, he'll put his glad rags on, that should turn some heads on the sleepy island. Good for motorcyclists though I hear.

Right my top 5 'Things that always disappoint'...

5. Fast food. Always want it, but it never does the job.

4. Over-hyped, over-advertised tv. Often rubbish ie Lost. Apologies avid fans. The XFactor is essentially just kareoke, but they make it out like it's a world event.

3. Theme parks. Oh please let me pay £50 so I can queue in a the rain all day. Getting too old for all that now, back to the teacups for me.

2. England performances at football tournaments ('66, '90, '96 excluded). 'Oh, maybe this year...we've got the players.' No we haven't I'm afraid. Spain have. They usually lack passion too, which is irritating to say the least. I could go on...

1. Hosting a big party. Loads of effort, and rarely do you enjoy said event, worrying rather about canopes and whether Jean's got a top up.

Play list.

Paloma Faith - Stone Cold Sober

Duffy - Well, well well.

Elton John - I'm still standing.

Ray Charles - Georgia on my mind.

Curtis Mayfield - Move on up.

Edwin Starr - War

Robyn - With every heartbeat.

Tom Petty - Refugee

Rolling Stones - Undecover (of the night).

ACDC - Back in black.

Thanks for all your comments and help as always, especially those who mocked my being over dressed in a suit.
