In The Mix - 4th December 2010

It's Christmas!

I'm very excited to say that I think it is officially the Christmas period! I have a number of reasons why I think this.

The first one being it is Now December which means we only have 3 weeks, that is 21 days until the big day itself!

Most towns have had their Christmas Light's events, like Brentwood did on Thursday.

And many people have their Christmas decorations up, though they have been up for a while now, I saw some houses which had their lights up in mid November which I personally think is a bit early.

But you know what the biggest give away is that it's Christmas time?

The Coca-cola advert has been on! You know the one with the lorries and the 'Holidays are coming theme tune'. I get very excited when I see that every year. Do you?

Let me know my commenting on the bottom of this page!

I want to know have you got your decorations up yet Have you done any Christmas shopping done yet? I'm very prepared this year I've bought all my gifts already!

But let me know about you, what are your plans for Christmas?

Celebs Quit Twitter

From the 1st of December a few celebrities have quit using Twitter!

However they are all doing it for a good cause. Alicia Keys supports a charity called 'Keep A Child Alive' and the celebrities are stopping all tweets and the use of twitter to raise awareness for World AIDS Day, which was on the 1st, and to raise money for Alicia's charity.

The Celebrities include Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber, Usher Serena Williams, Elijah Wood, Jennifer Hudson and Kim Kardashian.

A number of posters have been made with the stars taking part in a coffin with 'the name of the celeb is dead!' written on it.

Underneath it says So and So has scarified their digital life to give real life to millions of other affected by HIV aids in Africa and India. That means no more Facebook or Twitter until we buy their life back. Visit to buy their life back now'.

The stars will be back online once the charity has raised 1 million dollars.

So if you can't live without knowing what the celebs are up to, or you just want to give some money to charity, visit for all the information and on their website you can also see how much they have raised so far.

New Britain's Got Talent Judge

David Hasselhoff, or 'The Hoff' as he is known, is most famous for playing a lifeguard in the TV programme Bay Watch and he has also had a hit cover song with 'Jump in My car', but now he may be the new judge for the next series of Britain's got Talent.

For four years Hasselhoff was a judge on America's Got Talent but quit in January, saying he wanted to embark on his own reality show project.

However, there were reports that TV chiefs did not renew his contract on the show, as there were claims his battle with alcohol had made his position untenable.

The Hoff is a regular visit to the UK and he has also worked very closely with X-Factor judge Simon Cowell. Simon will be too busy to be a judge on Britain's Got Talent next year as he will be launching his US version of the X-factor. Therefore there have been claims David will take Simon's place.

However A spokeswoman for ITV1's Britain's Got Talent said the report was "just speculation".

At the moment The Hoff is currently in London rehearsing for his role as Captain Hook in the New Wimbledon Theatre's Peter Pan pantomime.

And Auditions for Britain's Got Talent 2011 are due to start next month.

Katie and Pete Spending Christmas Together

Peter Andre had been rushed to hospital this week when he experience 'excruciating pain'. He had to postpone some of his tour dates while he was in hospital having an operation to remove a kidney stone which doctors had found. But soon after that he was given the all clear to carry on with his tour.

And it has also recently been reported he will be spending some time with his Children and Ex- wife Katie Price on Christmas day. The couple have two children together, 5-year-old Junior and 3-year-old Princess Tiaamii, while Katie has an 8 year old son called Harvey from a previous relationship who Pete helped look after when they were together.

The couple will spend a few hours in each other's company so that they can exchange presents with their children.

A source said: "The children are now at an age when they are fully aware of what is going on, so for their sakes Kate and Peter have decided to put on a show of union.

"It's been a tough year for them both, but they are determined not to ruin Christmas for the kids. They will both be on their best behaviour."

Fergie Is 'The Woman of The Year'

The only female singer in the band the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, has been named Woman of The Year by Billboard Magazine. Fergie felt "humbled" and thrilled to be recognised for her musical achievements at New York's Pierre Hotel on the 2nd of December, when the Annual Women in Music event took place.

She said: "Congratulations to all the women of the year. I'm so humbled to be in a category with so many strong females in the business."

Band members Taboo and were also very happy for her.

Taboo said: "In 2002 we met Fergie at a studio. We were looking for someone to sing on a song called 'Shut Up.' When she came on, she blew us away. She was a professional, so on point and we wanted to put her on more songs. To make a long story short, thank God we put her on a lot more songs. We can attribute so many things to our success, and Fergie's been a part of that. I'm so grateful to have her as a sister." added: "Not only is she a strong, talented woman with a beautiful voice, I can also talk to her about women and get girl advice from her. Congratulations Fergie - you're my sis and my best friend. Thank you for being in my life." 'Glee' star Lea Michelle was the magazine's winner of the first Triple Threat award for her success in acting, dancing and singing, and she thanked the show for allowing her the chance to showcase her talents.

She said: I was always told I wouldn't make it as a recording artist because I had a musical theatre voice and I wouldn't be able to branch out into other fields and Thankfully 'Glee' came along."

Video Highlights can be watched on Billboard Magazine's website.
