Stumbling into the New Year!

Welcome 2011!
How you doing? Missed not talking into a microphone for a few weeks. I had a long extended holiday from the station.
Unfortunately, I managed to fall over (after the Phoenix FM Christmas drinks party) onto my face; smashing my eye and making me feel dizzy for a week. I screamed for Brentwood’s Phoenix FM Hero (Ed Wellman) to catch me but all he could do was to watch (and laugh) as I hit the deck.
I remember now why it is very important to eat before you go out for a few drinks and the dangers of karaoke, champagne and bongo drums. Don’t ask. My rendition of “COME TOGHETHER” was apparently an instant hit with the audience. Sadly for me, I don’t remember singing it!
So onwards into this New Year!
30TH January 2011 Brentwood Theatre. This is a great night of music from local bands and tickets are 10.00 each. We had an excellent turn out last year and I am hoping for the same this year. Ash Lewis, Hope Murphy, 3rd Rock Revolution, Ed Coates to name a few, all very talented and all playing sets on the night. A few of the Phoenix FM presenters (who are also pro musicians too) will be joining in too. Tickets are available from the Brentwood Theatre 01277 200 305.
So this year saw lots of local guests and a chance to meet some very interesting people. I have to say thank you to all my guests last year, it really has been a pleasure.
The talented Pixie Lott, Brentwood Theatre special thanks to Mark P Reed for all his support, Christopher  Biggins for making me giggle, Jenny Bond, The wonderful writer Sylvia Kent, Hairdresser and local counsellor, Nigel Clarke for causing me to laugh too much on air, 92 year old talk sensation, George Adey, Ben Williams, Sam Pay, Producer Pep Serrano, Fitness Instructor Gabby Clarke, pancake racing in the rain, Brentwood Operatic Society, Artisans DramaSociety, Phil Hutchinson, Chelmsford Armature Dramatics Society, Barry Howeltt,  Anver Anderson, Barry Bowlers, John Debenton, Julian Webber, The New Venture Players, The Suburbians, Ed Coates,Hope Murphy, Ash Lewis, JJ Sarbo, Jackie Pitmans, Alex Shaw, Owen Green, my fellow presenters who always make me smile, with special thanks to Ed Wellman for being so brilliant, Andrew Babiz, Emma Sweeney, Peter Thompson, John Graddon, Graeme Holiday, Andy Hubbard, Taylor Godwin, Monica Gibson, Brian Powis, Scott Ross and Eddie Curry. Plus another 30 or more regular presenters at the station. There are many more people I haven’t listed but thank you for getting involved and giving your time to your local radio station.
If you want to be a guest in the studio or a telephone interview, got something you want locals to hear about, then contact me at locals schools, bands, actors, writers, you run a club, involved in the local community then I want to hear from you!
Peace and love in 2011
