Monday Monday!! I saw BOSSY's concert last night which was attended by the Mayor, to raise money and awareness for Diabetes UK after the loss of Lewis Fraser a very talented young man


Last night on my return from the concert, I deiscovered three cars parked on double yellows and a mini roundabout - when did this become leagal and have you had the same problems where you live???

Morrisons like for like sales in 6 weeks to 2nd January rose by 1% (excluding fuel) - served average of 2 million more customers each week. [via Twitter]

METRO BUSINESS AND FINANCE:
All employers should be made to pay a £2.50 an hour wage to long-term interns, the government was told yesterday.The payment to prevent exploitation was one of a number of measures suggested by the chartered Institute of Personnel and Development aimed at boosting Britains economic recovery.

Jane Atherton reports that Online sales more than compensated for the disruption caused by snow as department store House of Fraser put 8.5% on trading during the festive period.  In house fashion label Biba drove sales in clothing, supported by other house brands Pied a Terre and Label Lab. All-singing, all-dancing high school comedy Glee returns to our screens tonight.   This series promises even more big stars but producers have been denying rumours that Justin Bieber will make a cameo appearance.

Former Friends favourite Matt Le Blanc is back on Britain's TV screens tonight.   He plays an exaggerated version of himself in a new show Episodes, the story of a hit comedy from the UK being recreated in the USA.  It also stars Tamsin Greig, Stephen Mangan and Richard Griffiths, and pokes fun at the showbiz industry .

Angela Rippon and Nadia Sawalha are the first celebrities to leave the qualifying rounds of the new series of Dancing On Ice.  They became the first casualties of two special knock-out shows to whittle
down the 16 contestants to 12 before the competition proper begins.  They faced a skate-off, along with Nickelodeon presenter Laura Hamilton.

Cerys Matthews, Catatonia siger, has tied the nott with her manager-boyfriend and the father of her one year old son Red.  They exchanged vows in Welsh and English at a service on Friday evening, after which they headed to the Glee Comedy club in Cardiff Bay for their reception!
