WEDNESDAY - sleepy sleepy after The Boxer Rebellion's Album Launch last night in London!

It was difficult waking up this morning after last nights launch party.  I was sensible and came home at 10 but that does mean with a slow train its an hour an a half journey.  But its OK because Eric Pickles is backing the campaign to bring oyster to Brentwood! All we need now is faster trains with heating and it will be a nice journey!!

DETECTIVES are investigating claims that gunshots were fired in the middle of a housing estate.  A gang of violent men forced their way into a house-share in Dewsgreen, Vange, apparently looking for a man.   They beat up a man who answered the door at about 8pm on Saturday. He suffered a split lip, black eye, and cuts all over his face.  The thugs took a mobile phone and some cash, but it appears they did not find the man they were looking for.  It is claimed the men returned at 6am the following day in a black car and fired gunshots in the street.  Police were called to the second incident, although the first incident had not initially been reported to them. A cordon was placed around the scene, and was still in place on Monday afternoon.  Sniffer dogs searched the coned-off area for clues.  A metal detector was also brought in to hunt for discarded gun shells.  A police spokesman appealed for anyone with information about either incident to call Pitsea police on 0300 3334444.

Just over 2-million people tuned into Piers Morgan's new US TV show 'Tonight'.  But - despite tripling the ratings of Larry King Live, who he's replaced - the CNN show still wasn't enough to beat Fox News' interview with Sarah Palin on at the same time.  Some reports put the GLOBAL viewing figures as high as 300-million. The rest of the week's guests are Condoleezza Rice, Ricky Gervais and George
Clooney.
