Hogarth School takeover - 19/01/2011 Charlotte, Nell & Lainey from Year 6 visited Phoenix FM for Hogarth School's occasional takeover of the station. They were supposed to have been joined also by Tom, but he had torn a ligament and so was unable to come in, but we did play his choice of music, Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal.  As usual there are lots of things going on at the School, and the children shared some of them with us, as well as reading the Events Guide and choosing some of the music. Charlotte talked about how they'd celebrated Christmas at Hogarth, including an excellent Christmas dinner complete with all the traditional trimmings, and chose Mike Posner's Cooler Than Me, which she dedicated to her sister Grace who was two today. Lainey spoke about their Year 6 topic on the Tudors, including a special assembly on Friday which includes a play written by their teacher, Mr Clarke. Lainey's song was Grenade by Bruno Mars, which she dedicated to everyone in Year 6 - and, of course, Mr Clarke!  Finally, Nell described all sorts of ingenious initiatives to raise funds for the Year 6 trip to Kessingland, including a ghost walk and funky sock day! Nell chose Love the Way you Lie by Eminem & Rihanna. As usual, the children gave lots of mentions to their teacher, Mr Clarke - although Lainey did complain that she doesn't understand many of his jokes! It's always great to meet the children from Hogarth, and Lainey, Nell & Charlotte were no exception! Posted in
