A MAN who was found dead after going missing for 11 days was upset at being jobless, his aunt says.  Carol Carter spoke following the death of her nephew Darren Carter, 33, whose body was found near the Ocean Beach cafe in Thorpe Bay on January 24.  He went missing from his home in Ambleside Drive, Southend, on January 13.  Miss Carter said Darren was unemployed and “he had been down as he was out of work”.  She added Darren’s parents Ken and Sue, of Wickford, and his two brothers Andrew, 31, and Gary, 27, were too upset to pay tribute to Darren after his death.   Miss Carter, 46, from Chelmsford, added: “We knew he was missing because we had not heard from him for a few days and a friend went round to his place and noticed his dog, Henry, was shut in one room and his food was in another.”  Miss Carter said her nephew loved his mastiff and took him everywhere, so it was apparent something was wrong when the dog was on his own.
