In The Mix - 5th February 2011

Justin Bieber Stars in film Pop sensation Justin Bieber is starring in his very first film about his life, how he went from being a street performer in Stratford to a worldwide superstar. The 16-year-old pop idol will meet and greet fans on the red carpet at London's O2 Cineworld on Wednesday February 16, before the 3D screening of his life story which is called Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Bieber Fever quickly spread to millions of girl after Justin Since appeared on the music scene in 2009 with his debut single One Time. He has become a chart-topping singer, a teen heartthrob and an internet phenomenon with almost seven million followers on Twitter. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never is released in the UK and Ireland on February 18, 2011 McIntyre Makes Boy Cry A couple of weeks ago it had been reported that Micheal McIntyre had made a 9 year old boy cry on the show Britain’s got talent at the Birmingham auditions. Aspiring comedian David was reduced to tears when Michael buzzed after asking him to name his favourite comedians joking that he "should not be influenced by the fact I am judging". When the youngster replied "Harry Hill" Michael hit his red buzzer - before the routine had even started. However McIntyre has spoken out about the situation by saying "When you watch the show and hopefully enjoy it, you will see that I'm not a Mr Nasty by any means... I have been teased quite a lot for being too nice to people, because I know what they are going through." About David Knight McIntyre said "I don't like upsetting people. It was an odd moment... I apologised and put him through because he was very good and showed promise." He added "I am not being ruthless and shattering people's dreams - that's the opposite of what I want to do." Michael, who has been working with fellow judges David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden on the next series of Britain's Got Talent, said that many of most moving successes so far involved singers. He said "There were tears when a girl with a stammer belted out Time To Say Goodbye. There have been some wonderful moments." Blue on Euro Vision The Euro Vision song contest see’s artists from all around Europe perform to win. Some can be very good, some very wacky and some very bad. In the past representing the UK we have had Josh Dubovie, who represented us last year, he came last after his song That Sounds Good To Me, written by Pete Waterman, and only picked up just 10 points. In 2008 former X Factor contestant Andy Abraham also came last with 14 points. And in 2003 duo Jemini, suffered the humiliation of receiving no points at all. This year however we have a very popular band singing for us, and that is Blue. The four-piece reformed back in 2009 and will represent the UK at the annual event with their self-written song I Can. However their ex manager Daniel Glatman doesn’t think they should He has said "They will have to win. Anything less and their reputation would be in tatters. "It is the equivalent of Lewis Hamilton entering a go-kart race - he will be the strong favourite but there is also the possibility he could lose. So why risk it?" In 1997 Katrina and The Waves triumphed and this is the first time since then that the UK has opted for an established act. It has also moved away from the public choosing our act. Announcing their decision, band member Duncan James said: "We're celebrating our 10 years together in 2011, so when the BBC approached us it seemed a great way to mark the occasion and also to be part of something which is still a British institution." Simon Webbe added: "I've always wanted to represent my country, so this is a truly exciting experience for Blue." Blue will be up against X Factor twins Jedward who are representing Ireland. In April a documentary following the band as they prepare for Eurovision is due to air and The Eurovision Song Competition itself will take place on May 14 from Dusseldorf with Graham Norton hosting the BBC event. Ginger Spice Returns To Music Many of the Spice girls have realised solo singles since their spilt and now Ginger has said that since she’s been a judge on the X-Factor she would like to get back into music. When asked is she would return to music she said Oh yes, although I've never left music. I'm always writing lyrics and songs. I will be returning to music. Definitely." Then asked if she would come back as a solo artist she replied "I think we've (the Spice Girls) already done the reunion." Geri Halliwell has followed in the fashion footsteps of her ex-bandmate Victoria Beckham by creating a beachwear range. She said: "I actually didn't ask her advice on this one. Victoria's doing very high-end, high-fashion, and what she's done is brilliant. But she's always been like that. I remember when I was in the studio writing the lyrics for Who Do You Think You Are, and Victoria had been out shopping, and had gone missing for hours. She came in and she showed me these Manolo Blahnik shoes - and I didn't know they were designer. I didn't really know what designer was." JLS and Olly Tour I’ve got some good news of JLS and Olly Murs fans now. It has been announced that both X-factors runner up will be touring together with four dates across the UK this summer. Despite coming second to Alexandra Burke on The X Factor 2008, JLS have had four number one singles from two albums and recently completed a huge 30-date arena tour. Meanwhile, Olly Murs, who came second to Joe McElderry in 2009, went straight to number one with his debut single Please Don't Let Me Go, begins a string of sold out gigs on April 30 and is nominated for a Brit award. JLS and Olly Murs start their arena tour in Swansea's Liberty Stadium on June 12, before moving to Belfast's Kings Hall Complex on June 25, Limerick's Thomond Park on June 26, and then ending in a very close place to us… Chelmsford's Hylands House on July 9th. So if your local to Chelmsford hurry up and get your ticket as I am sure they will sell out very fast. Jack Tweed Essex Fight Jack Tweed has reportedly been having a bit of a fight outside a nightclub in Essex a few weeks ago. To be precise the night club is called Deuces bar and lounge is owned by The Only Way Is Essex star, and friend Mark Wright who was also involved in the fight. They were arrested at the scene along with Tweed’s younger brother Lewis. The widower of Jade Goody was accused of threatening and abusive behaviour after answering bail at a police station in Ilford, east London. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they have been charged under section four of the Public Order Act. Jack suffered a black eye and bruised face during the punch-up but he declined any medical treatment. Jack, Mark and Lewis will all appear Redbridge Magistrates Court on Tuesday. So we shall see what happens to them.
