Body Talk - 17th July

Hopi Ear Candles were the topic of our conversation tonight. Sandra Randall chatted to me about how the candles are used and how they work.

No, they aren't made of wax, but flax, beeswax, honey, sage, chamomile St John's Wort and beta carotene. They smell beautiful, and this scent is appparent all the way through the treatment. You have to lie on one side and the candle is inserted into the ear. The candle is hollow and the heat from the flame draws impurities out of the ear.

These candles can be used for a variety of ear nose and throat problems such as wax in the ears, sinus problems, rhinitus, glue ear, flu and headaches and tinnitus. Sandra has also had successs in treating people who suffer from blocked ears when flying. A treatment before you go on a plane is a good idea.

There are hardly any side effects to this treatment, and very few people who wouldn't benefit from it,  even if it was just for relaxation. You get a lovely facial massage straight afterwards.  If you are in any doubt, then remember to check with your therapist first.

To find out more or where you can go for a treatment, contact me and I can pass your queastions on to Sandra.
